    Coach

He only served as head coach for three seasons but his career was a long and productive one at McNeese. In the three seasons that he was head coach he produced a record that many cannot touch. His teams went 28-6-1, won two conference titles and participated in two Independence Bowl games. In that three year period as head coach, he produced 19 all-conference players and an all-American. Duplechin’s tenure with the Cowboys covered a total of 22 years, from 1965 to 1987. He also served as athletic director for seven years before retiring. Prior to joining McNeese, Duplechin was a successful high school coach.
