LEE HOLLAND
Holland brought the Cowboy tennis team back to prominence during the 1980s, producing the only Southland Conference titles in school history, 1983 and 1987. His teams also claimed runnerup honors in 1984, 1985 and 1988 and during his coaching career he earned three SLC Coach of the Year honors.  His 1983 team finished fourth in the NIT tournament and his 1988 squad was ranked 18th in the nation. Holland, who coached the Cowboys until the sport was dropped in 1988, compiled a 178-56 career record and his teams ranked among the conference leaders academically every year.  He had also served as coach of the Cowgirl tennis team from 1979 to 1980.
