LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball and The Stampede will host its annual Jambalaya Cookoff on Saturday, Feb. 9 in conjunction with its 1 p.m. Southland Conference game against Northwestern State.
 
The competition will begin at 12 p.m. and will take place on the third floor of the H&HP Complex. Fans can sample the jambalaya for $5 per bowl and the winner will be determined based on tip jar amount. The winner will be announced at the first media timeout of the men's game against the Demons.
 
Entry fee for the event is $200 per team with all proceeds going to the women's basketball program.
