Dowell "Doc" Fontenot Sports Medicine Center

McNeese State's Dowell "Doc" Fontenot Sports Medicine Center is an ultra-modern facility and one of the finest in the South. It is named after longtime McNeese athletic trainer Dowell Fontenot who was also a national champion boxer during his undergraduate days at the university and who is a member of the McNeese Hall of Fame. The center is located just south of the McNeese athletic fieldhouse.

Funds for the 2,600 square foot medical center were obtained from the state, private donations and the McNeese PetroChem Athletic Association.
