LAKE CHARLES – Kickoff for Saturday's second round FCS playoff game against 4
th-seeded McNeese against Sam Houston State in Cowboy Stadium will carry a 6:04 p.m. kickoff and will be streamed live on ESPN3.
The game is an NCAA-operated event. Below are stadium rules assigned by the NCAA that McNeese and fans must follow:
• No artificial noisemakers will be allowed. This includes the prohibited use of cowbells, thunder sticks, air horns, whistles, etc. Signs will be posted around the parking areas and Cowboy Stadium to remind fans they will not be allowed.
• ALL bags will be checked when entering the game. Fans are asked to arrive early to avoid having to stand in line for a lengthy amount of time due to this. McNeese will have extra personnel at the two main entrances to help the process flow quicker.
• Video board material, such as pump up and cheer videos will not be allowed. The same goes for regular season game day video board elements including advertisements.
• No outside food or drinks.
• No umbrellas.
There are a few things that will be allowed that adds to the game day atmosphere.
The "Touchdown Canon" will be allowed to be fired after every McNeese score. The Para Pokes are expected to parachute into Cowboy Stadium in the pregame, and the Mystery Rider will also be making its appearance.
Should McNeese win, the Cowboys will host the winner of the James Madison/Colgate game next Friday or Saturday. The date and time of the game will be decided by the NCAA on Sunday.
Season ticket holders who renewed their tickets for the second round game by submitting their renewal form will automatically have theirs renewed for the quarterfinal contest. The same goes for those who renewed tailgate spots for this week's game. If you did not turn in a form, you must purchase those seats at the ticket office beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday.
Tickets for this week's game are still on sale at the McNeese Ticket Office or they can be purchased online at McNeeseSports.com. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. through Friday and will open at noon on Saturday.
