LAKE CHARLES – LSU announced on Tuesday it will refund its ticket holders for Saturday's canceled game against McNeese. The McNeese Athletic department followed suit and said it will also refund those fans who purchased tickets for the game through McNeese.
Saturday's game was canceled due to severe lightning that persisted for several hours in the immediate vicinity of Tiger Stadium.
The refund will be for the full face value price of the ticket but only those who purchased tickets from McNeese will be refunded by the McNeese Athletic Department. Those refunds will begin being processed on Monday, Sept. 14.
Those who purchased tickets with a credit card will have their refund automatically processed while those who bought with a check or cash will need to come to the ticket office to fill out some paper work. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Ticket stubs from the game are not required for a refund as McNeese officials kept records of fans who purchased from McNeese.
Fans who purchased tickets through the LSU ticket office will need to contact the LSU Athletic Department directly for details while fans who purchased tickets through non-authorized third parties will need to contact those sources for questions about refunds.
