McNeese sophomore pitcher Meagan Bond has been named this week’s Southland Conference pitcher of the week after throwing a one-hitter in the Cowgirls 1-0 11 inning second game victory over second place Texas-Arlington.

     The native of Lumberton, Mississippi missed throwing a perfect game, allowing only one hit and ended the game with seven strikeouts.  She currently has 93 strikeouts in 108.2 innings pitched with a 2.64 ERA, ranking in the top 15 in the league.
