Guidry garnered Southland Conference Player of the Week honors along with Louisiana Sports Writers Association accolades Monday afternoon following two outstanding performances over Southern-New Orleans and rival Louisiana-Lafayette last week.

The Lake Charles native averaged a double-double for the week (24.0 ppg, 15.5 rpg) as well as recorded a career-high in rebounds in back-to-back games helping guide the Cowboys to dominating victories over ULL and SUNO.
 
He set a career high in rebounds with 15 against SUNO before smashing his own mark three days later with 16 against the Cajuns. Guidry has now recorded five consecutive double-double games and even produced a double-double against ULL after only one half of play.
 
For the season, Guidry ranks first in the league in rebounding (12.2) and is fourth in the SLC in scoring (19.3 ppg).  He's also ninth in the Southland in field goal percent (59.0) and is tied for seventh in free throw shooting (84.0 percent).
 
McNeese travels to Texas Christian Saturday night to take on the Frogs at 7 p.m. before returning home on Tuesday, Dec. 16 to face off against LSU-Alexandria.
