McNeese State Ben Bourgeois has been named the Southland Conference special team player of the week for his performance in last week's victory over Nicholls State.  IN that game he posted a 41.8 punting average on four punts with three of them landing inside the 20 yard line.  Only two of his punts were returned and those were for a minus one yard total.  He is a graduate student from Sulphur.
