McNeese State’s senior pitcher Tiffany Denham has been named the Southland Conference “Pitcher of the Week” after helping McNeese to a 4-3 overall record last week at the Arizona State Kajikawa Classic. 
    
The Alvin, Tx. native, posted a 2-1 record with a 2.55 ERA over the weekend and was the winning pitcher in the Cowgirls’ 3-1 win over Arizona State, the defending National Champs and the preseason No. 1 team.  Denham gave up only three hits in the win and ended the tournament with 16 strikeouts.  Denham also picked up a 2-1 win over Bradley in the Cowgirls’ final game of the tournament.
