Senior forward Martika Hull was rewarded for her efforts last week by being named the Lousiana Sports Writer’s Association women’s basketball Player of the Week.
     The Meridian, Miss. Native recorded two double-doubles in victories over Texas-Arlington and Nicholls.  The double-doubles were her sixth and seventh of the season.  She scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the Cowgirls’ 70-50 win over UTA then followed that with a career high 20 points to go along with her 14 rebounds, two shy of her carer high.
     For the week, Hull averaged 16.0 ppg. and 12.5 rpg. while shooting 70.0 percent from the field (14-20) and 66.7 percent from the free throw line.
