Charles Kuehn Weight Room

The Charles Kuehn Weight Room at the Jack Doland Field House was outfitted by Life Fitness Company and Hammer Strength Company who made the 8,000 square foot room a showcase weight facility.

Weights are painted in platinum and blue and there are 16 Mondo inlayed platforms for heavy weight work, one of only eight schools in the nation to have this.

The weight room also includes:  16 multi-purpose racks, 80,000 pounds of weights (McNeese logo on the weights), nine 52-inch flat screen television sets, mirrors all the way around, two treadmills, two elliptical machines, a stationary bike and a $12,000 surround sound system donated by Scott Bailey and Bailey Audio.

A 12-foot McNeese logo sets off the room from the center floor.

The facility is named in honor of McNeese State’s first football all-American who is pictured above.
