Jack Doland Fieldhouse

700 East McNeese St.
Lake Charles, La. 70607

The Jack V. Doland Fieldhouse opened its doors during the fall of 2011 just in time before the start of football season.

Construction on the 53,838 square foot facility began in January 2010 and was completed a year later.

The total cost was $8.25 million with funds for the project coming from corporate and private donations, athletic revenue, a student self-assessed fee, capital outlay funds and a hotel/motel occupancy fee.

A total of 30,141 square feet were added in the renovation and new construction of the fieldhouse which included 17,834 square feet when it was built in 1965 and then renovated in 1975.

Key features of the fieldhouse expansion are the second largest weight room in the state, team meeting rooms, enlarged locker room, conference rooms, enlarged ticket office, digital and interactive Hall of Fame room, indoor club room, outdoor seating area and an academic resource center.

The fieldhouse, whose second story houses coaches offices, meeting rooms and a club level with outside seating, is named after former McNeese head football coach, athletic director and president Dr. Jack V. Doland.
