On Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 McNeese renamed the Legacy Center to the Townsley Law Arena following a $4.5 million over 15 years naming rights agreement with Townsley Law Firm.

The naming rights is believed to be the largest basketball arena naming rights deal in Southland Conference history.

The Townsley Law Firm has been a fixture in Southwest Louisiana since 1995 with Todd and his uncle Rex Townsley. Today, the firm is the largest medical malpractice law firm in Louisiana and is home to 13 attorneys and a large support staff with over half of the entire Townsley Law family, including five attorneys, holding degrees from McNeese.

The $41 million, 145,00 square foot complex is home to the McNeese men's and women's basketball and volleyball programs and the Department of Health and Human Performance. The main basketball arena seats 4,242 and the volleyball court has seating for 500.

The facility is located across the street from the Jack V. Doland Athletic Complex.

The first men’s basketball game played in the complex was against Loyola-New Orleans on November 16, 2018 and the first women’s basketball game in the new facility was against Louisiana College on December 19, 2018.

The volleyball team began playing all their home matches in the facility beginning with the 2019 season.
