LAKE CHARLES-- The McNeese volleyball team will look to pick up its first Southland Conference win of the season when the Cowgirls host Lamar in a 7 p.m. match Thursday night in Memorial Gym.
It's going to be an 80's theme night and fans are encouraged to wear their best 80's attire to the match. Admission is free, courtesy of the American Press.
McNeese (9-8, 0-2 SLC) will also attempt to snap a five-match losing skid after falling to Jackson State in five sets Tuesday night. Junior
Amber Fryer is coming off career-high 26 kills against the Tigers and is currently second on the team with 169.

Rachel Cagnina leads the Cowgirls with 200 kills and a .297 hitting percent, ranking her third in the SLC. Cagnina is also second on the team with 42 blocks.

Malina Sanchez, who missed Tuesday's match, continues to lead McNeese and the SLC with 38 service aces. Sanchez is third on the team with 159 kills while
Kelly Graham has a team high 610 assists and ranks fifth in the SLC.
Kimberlyn Patterson continues to lead McNeese in digs with 243 and ranks ninth in the SLC. Sophomore
Chrysta Stuart leads the Cowgirls with 54 blocks.
As a team, McNeese ranks in the Top 5 in seven statistical categories and continue to have a league-high 117 service aces. McNeese ranks second in opponent hitting percent and fourth in assists and hitting percent and fifth in kills.
Lamar (1-12, 1-0 SLC) is coming off its first win of the season with a 3-2 come from behind win against Sam Houston State last Thursday.
Cortney Moore's 156 kills and .352 attack percent lead the Cardinals. Chelsea Grant leads Lamar with 63 blocks.
