LAKE CHARLES-- The McNeese volleyball team returns to the court after a week off to host Nicholls in a 2 p.m. match Saturday at Memorial Gym. Admission is free, courtesy of the American Press.
McNeese (10-12, 1-6 SLC) is led by junior
Amber Fryer who has a team-high 225 kills. Fryer is also tied for second on the team with 49 blocks. Senior
Rachel Cagnina who has been hampered by an injury leads the Cowgirls with a .289 attack percent and is second on the squad with 212 kills. Setter
Kelly Graham ranks fifth in the Southland Conference and has dished out a team high 795 assists. Graham is averaging 9.35 assists per set.
Junior
Kimberlyn Patterson leads the team with 277 digs while
Malina Sanchez is second with 275.
Nicholls enters the match with a 7-12 overall record and 3-3 in conference play and will also be playing their only match of the week. The Colonels are led by Kaci Eaton's 269 kills. Eaton ranks third in the SLC with 4.12 kills per set. She is also third on the team with 184 digs.
