LAKE CHARLES—The McNeese volleyball team returns to Southland Conference action this weekend with matches at Houston Baptist and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
McNeese (12-12, 2-6 SLC) will look to play off of its dominating non-conference win over Alcorn Tuesday night when the Cowgirls take to the road for a 7 p.m. match at Houston Baptist Thursday. The match is the first and only of the season against the Huskies who are 9-12 overall and 4-3 in conference play and both teams enter the match having won their last two.

Senior
Rachel Cagnina continues to lead the Cowgirls with a .293 hitting percent and ranks sixth in the SLC. Other Cowgirls ranked in statistical categories are junior
Malina Sanchez, who is the top server in the league with 47 aces. Junior
Kelly Graham ranks sixth with 9.30 assists per set.
Houston Baptist is led by Jessica Wooten's 3.83 kills per set and is second on the team with 2.80 digs per set. Setter Kayla Armer is dishing out 10.67 assists per set and ranks second in the SLC.
The Cowgirls will conclude the weekend with a 1 p.m. match at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday.
