ABILENE, Texas – The McNeese women's soccer team will complete a three-game road swing on Sunday as the Cowgirls travel to take on Abilene Christian in a match slated for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.

McNeese (6-9-1, 4-5 SLC) maintained its position in the Southland Conference standings despite dropping a 2-0 heartbreaker at Incarnate Word Friday night. The Cowgirls currently sit in fifth place with only two matches remaining while six teams are eligible to enter the postseason tournament.

The Wildcats (8-8-2, 5-3-2 SLC) look to play spoiler to McNeese's bid at a tournament run on Sunday. Unable to advance into postseason play due to NCAA transition rules, Abilene Christian seeks its second consecutive win and a sixth conference victory to close out its season.
ACU is led by Baylee Mitchell who has 14 points (seven goals) on the season, while Lindsey Jones and Leslie Snider each have three tallies and two assists.
Sunday's match will mark just the second all-time meeting between the two programs. Last season, the Cowgirls scored a huge 1-0 overtime victory over Abilene Christian in Lake Charles.
