LAKE CHARLES-  The McNeese volleyball team will continue its road swing Thursday night when the Cowgirls travel to league leading Central Arkansas for a 7 p.m. match.
 
McNeese (10-10, 1-4 SLC) is on the second leg of a three-match week for the Cowgirls who are coming off a 3-1 loss at Southeastern La. Tuesday.  Central Arkansas (10-7, 5-0 SLC) is one of two teams undefeated in the SLC.  Stephen F. Austin is also undefeated with a 4-0 record in conference play. The Sugar Bears are currently on a five-match winning streak after its 3-1 win over Southeastern La. on Oct. 4.
 
Senior Rachel Cagnina who has been hampered by an injury since last Thursday leads the Cowgirls with 212 kills and a .289 hitting percent.
 
McNeese continues to lead the conference in service aces with 129 and junior Malina Sanchez also continues to be the league leader with 40 on the year.
 
Setter Kelly Graham is dishing out 9.53 assists per set and ranks fifth in the conference while Kimberlyn Patterson is leading the team with 271 digs for an average of 3.61 per set.
 
McNeese ranks fifth in the conference with 142.5 blocks and are led by sophomore Chrysta Stuart who has 56 on the season.
 
The Cowgirls return home Sunday to host Incarnate Word for its Dig Pink match beginning at 3 p.m. Fans are asked to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness and all donations will go to the Ethel Precht Foundation.  Admission is free, courtesy of the American Press.
