LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese volleyball dropped its Southland Conference match to Stephen F. Austin 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-20) Saturday, dropping McNeese to 9-7 on the season and 0-2 in the SLC.

Amber Fryer were the only Cowgirls able to collect 10 or more kills in the match. Cagnina put down 13 kills and Fryer was credited with 10.
Adison Giambrone led McNeese with 14 digs while
Malina Sanchez added 11. Setter
Kelly Graham dished out 29 assists.
McNeese struggled to get things going in the first set as SFA took a quick 1-0 lead with a 25-12 first set win.
SFA took a 3-0 lead in set two before McNeese came back to tie the set at nine, 13 and 15 all. The Cowgirls weren't able to get over the hump as the Ladyjacks went on to take set two by a 25-21 score.
The Ladyjacks held a 16-8 but the Cowgirls mounted a comeback to cut the lead to 22-18 on kills by Rebecca Koreneck,
Rae Myers and Cagnina.
SFA held off the Cowgirls' rally and went on to outscore McNeese 3-2 in the final five points to take the third set 25-20.
After a Tuesday match at Jackson State, McNeese will return home on Thursday to host Lamar in a 7 p.m. match and a 2 p.m. match Saturday against Sam Houston State.
