Cowgirls Open SLC Slate Against Preseason Favorite SFA

"We scheduled our nonconference tough so we could be ready for this scenario," said head coach Brooks Donald Williams. "We're excited about playing the best right off the bat."

McNeese (6-5) was picked to finish fourth in the coaches' poll and sixth in the sports information preseason polls behind the Ladyjacks, Northwestern State and Lamar.

The Cowgirls enter the game having won all their games at Burton Coliseum and enter Saturday's game with a 6-1 home record. The lone home loss was a 75-55 loss to Tulane in the second game of the season.
