LAKE CHARLES—The McNeese women's volleyball team will step out of conference action Tuesday night to host Louisiana-Lafayette in the first of three home matches for the Cowgirls this week. First serve is set for 7 p.m. in Memorial Gym on campus. The Cowgirls will also host Houston Baptist on Thursday and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday in conference matches.
McNeese (8-13) will bring a three match winning streak into Tuesday's match and the Cowgirls have won four of their last five matches including back-to-back straight set wins over Texas Southern and Nicholls last week.
Senior outside hitter
Malina Sanchez continues to pace the Cowgirls with 230 kills for an average of 2.84 per set. Sanchez is also second on the team in digs with 205 and service aces with 17. Senior setter
Kelly Graham leads the team with 732 assist for an average of 8.93 per set while
Bridget Justis has a team high 326 digs for an average of 3.98 per set and 18 service aces.
UL-Lafayette (5-17) will come into the match having lost their last four matches and six of their last seven. Chanelle Gardner leads the Cajuns in kills with 187 while Sara Mossakowski has 142 kills. Sydney Davis leads the team with 262 digs and 18 service aces while Jessica Bartczyszn leads with 521 assists.
McNeese will return to conference place Thursday in a 7 p.m. match against Houston Baptist.
