Volleyball Continues Road Swing At Sam Houston State Saturday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will travel to Sam Houston State Saturday for its fourth consecutive Southland Conference road match that is set for an 11 a.m. start.
 
McNeese (4-12, 1-2 SLC) will look to snap a two match-losing streak after fall 3-1 to Lamar on Thursday. Sam Houston State will enter the match 9-8 overall and undefeated at 3-0 in the SLC.
 
Senior outside hitter Malina Sanchez leads the Cowgirls in kills. Sanchez has 144 kills on the season and is averaging 2.40 per set. Sophomore Rae Myers is averaging 2.36 kills per set and has a total of 99 on the season. Senior setter Kelly Graham ranks sixth in the conference, averaging 9.02 per set. The native of Longmont, Colorado has 550 assists on the season. Graham also leads the Cowgirls with 15 service aces while junior libero Bridget Justis ranks sixth in the league with 240 digs for an average of 3.93 per set.
 
Sam Houston State enters Saturday on a four match-winning streak after picking up a straight set win over Nicholls on Thursday.
 
The Bearkats are led by Brook White's 212 kills, Claire Kilpatrick's 21 service aces and Shelby Genung's 38 blocks.
