LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese women's basketball will travel to Arlington, Texas this weekend for one of two preseason WNIT Consolation Brackets. The Cowgirls will take on Dartmouth at 5 p.m. Friday. Texas-Arlington will face Jacksonville at 7:15 p.m. Saturday's game times are also at 5 and 7:15 p.m. Win or lose on Friday, UTA will play in the 7:15 p.m. game Saturday.

McNeese (0-1) is coming off a season opening 68-53 loss at Chattanooga in the opening round of the tournament last Friday. Juniors
Amber Donnes and
Victoria Rachal led the Cowgirls in scoring with 16 and 11 points, respectively. Sophomore
Frederica Haywood led McNeese with seven rebounds.
Dartmouth (0-2) who is a member of the Ivy League, will face McNeese for the first time in program history. The Big Green fell 69-53 to Drexel in the opening round and is coming off a 61-57 home loss against New Hampshire on Monday.
Lakin Roland is the only player averaging in double figures for Dartmouth with 13.0 ppg. Roland and Kate Letkewicz lead the team with 7.0 rpg.
Following this weekend, McNeese returns home for its home opener Wednesday, Nov. 25 at noon against Rice in the first game of a doubleheader. The Cowboys will face Dillard at 2 p.m.
