McNeese hosts LSUA on Wednesday night

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese men's basketball will return home on Wednesday when it hosts a talented LSU-Alexandria team to cap off a doubleheader with the Cowgirls in Burton Coliseum.

Wednesday's game will be crunched between a 105-60 loss at Indiana last Saturday and a December 22 contest at UCLA. Tip-off will be 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Cowgirls' 5:30 game against Louisiana-Monroe.

The Cowboys (1-7) have dropped four straight games, the last three on the road while LSUA (10-2) has won three straight games and defeated Southland Conference members Southeastern Louisiana (82-68) and Northwestern State (99-97) already this season.

McNeese is led in scoring by Jamaya Burr's 13.6 points per game followed by Jarren Greenwood at 8.5 and Craig McFerrin at 8.4. McFerrin tops the team with 7.1 rebounds per game.

The Generals are averaging 84.3 points per game and have three players scoring double-digits for the season – DeAngelo Coleman (13.3), Brian Sylvester (13.0), and Gilbert Talbot (11.1).

LSUA is a NAIA Division I school and is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference. The team finished 23-4 last season and ranked 17th in the nation before falling in the NAIA National Tournament.
