Volleyball Hosts Jackson State Tuesday

LAKE CHARLES--  The McNeese State volleyball team (2-10) will look to remain undefeated at home Tuesday when the Cowgirls take on Jackson State at 7 p.m. at Memorial Gym. Free Johnny's Pizza will be given to the first 50 McNeese students.  
 
The Cowgirls who took part in their final regular season tournament last season at Wyoming Invite, will be looking to snap a three match losing streak after picking a straight set win over Prairie View last Tuesday.
 
Sophomore Rae Myers continues to lead the Cowgirls in kills with 90 for an average of 2.65 per set. Malina Sanchez, who was named to the Wyoming Invite all-tournament, has 88 on the season.  Setter, Kelly Graham moved into fifth place over the weekend as McNeese's all-time career assist leader. Graham enters Tuesday's match with 2,555 career assists and ranks seventh in the league with an 8.33 average.
 
Junior libero Bridget Justis continues to lead McNeese and ranks fifth in the conference with an average of 3.91 per set. Justis has 176 digs on the season.
 
Jackson State (0-15) is coming off a 0-3 weekend at the Lamar Tournament where they dropped matches to UT-Rio Grande Valley, Lamar and Tulane, all in straight sets.
 
Following Tuesday's match, McNeese will open Southland Conference play on the road at Northwestern State Thursday night and at Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.
