LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese volleyball's Southland Conference Tournament hopes are still alive heading into Saturday's regular season finale at third place Abilene Christian. First serve is at 1 p.m.
McNeese (10-20, 6-9 SLC) enters the match tied for seventh place with Lamar who is also 6-9 in league play. Lamar will host Incarnate Word in its season finale. Southeastern Louisiana (5-10) could also play into the mix for the final eighth spot with a win over New Orleans. The final seeding's will be determined by the conference office following Saturday's matches and will be released later that day.
The meeting against the Wildcats (11-19, 10-5 SLC) is the second of the season with McNeese picking up a 3-0 win over ACU in Lake Charles on Oct. 4. Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word or ineligible for the SLC Tournament. The Cowgirls are coming off a much-needed win over Nicholls on Tuesday that snapped a three game losing streak.
