LAKE CHARLES—Fresh off its 94-65 win over Southern-New Orleans on Monday night, the McNeese women's basketball team will return to Burton Coliseum Thursday night to host Louisiana College. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Prior to tipoff, McNeese will unveil its 2016 WBI Tournament banner.

McNeese (1-1) will be playing its third of five straight home games to begin the season. The Cowgirls enter the game with three players averaging in double figures. Senior
Victoria Rachal, who has been on fire the first two game of the season, leads the Cowgirls in scoring with 19.0 ppg. Rachal is shooting 45.2 percent from the field and a blistering 61.5 percent form three-point range. Her 14 treys rank her 16
th in the nation. Junior
Jasmyn Carswell is averaging 11.0 ppg as well as 7.5 rpg. Freshman
Caitlin Davis is averaging 10.0 ppg. Junior
Frederica Haywood leads the team with 11.5 rebounds per game while junior
Mercedes Rogers is collecting 9.0 rpg.
As a team, the Cowgirls are averaging 52.5 ppg. while holding their opponents to 39.5 ppg. The Cowgirls are shooting 41.5 percent from the field, 46.3 from three-point range and 73.3 percent from the charity stripe.
Louisiana College has played in one game this season, that being an exhibition game against LSU-Alexandria where the Wildcats fell 84-78 on Nov. 10. Kourtney McGhee paced La. College with 19 points and Taylor Payne added 11.
