Box Score MONROE---McNeese women's basketball team continued its hot shooting from three-point range here Tuesday to pick up a 78-52 road win at Louisiana-Monroe to improve to 5-4 on the season.

The Cowgirls made a season best 11 treys, five short of tying the school record of 16 and ended the game shooting 47.8 percent from behind the arc and 41.5 percent from the field. The Cowgirls shot 72.2 percent from the free throw line and outrebounded ULM 43-30.

McNeese placed three players in double figure scoring led by a season high from
Amber Donnes. Donnes connected on 7 of 13 including five 3-pointers to tie her season high of 19 points.
Caitlin Davis chipped in 12 points and dished out a season high seven assist and Frederica recorded her second double double of the season by scoring 10 points and leading all players with 14 rebounds.

McNeese opened the game by scoring the first five points of the game and never let the lead slip away as they held 38-20 halftime lead. The Cowgirls made four of six three-pointers in the first quarter and ended outscored the Warhawks 12-2 in the final six minutes of the half. Donnes scored the final five points of the half for the Cowgirls with a three-pointer then got the defensive rebound and went coast to coast for a layup at buzzer.

The Cowgirls continued their offensive output in the second half and led by as much as 26 points late in the game.

McNeese played all 10 players dressed out and each one scored at least two points. The Cowgirls scored 30 points in the paint, 24 off 23 ULM turnovers and scored 21-second chance points.

ULM's Andreanna Jackson led the Warhawks with 14 points and held their leading rebounder, Stephanie Ratliff to only four rebounds. Ratliff was averaging 10.4 rpg. Logan Oestrich scored 11 points.

McNeese will travel to Niceville, Florida next Monday and Tuesday to take part in the annual Patrick Harrington. The Cowgirls will face Alabama on Monday and Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
