LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will travel to Hammond on Sunday for a 1 p.m. Southland Conference contest against Southeastern Louisiana.

McNeese (8-7, 3-1 SLC) has won two of their last three games and enter the contest on a two game winning streak after defeating Houston Baptist 68-53 on Jan. 7.
The Cowgirls are tied for third place in the league standings as of Thursday night's games. Stephen F. Austin and Lamar sit atop the standings at 4-0 with the Cowgirls and Abilene Christian with 3-1 conference records.
McNeese has two of the league's top rebounders in
Frederica Haywood and
Mercedes Rogers. Haywood is coming off a double-double game against HBU leads the team and ranks third in the SLC with 9.2 rpg. Rogers ranks fifth in the league with 8.2 per contest.
The Cowgirls have four players averaging at least nine points a game. Seniors
Victoria Rachal and
Amber Donnes are averaging 9.3 and 9.2 ppg., respectively. Donnes also leads the team with 1.8 steals per game.
Freshmen
Caitlin Davis has a team best 3.5 assists per game and Maddy Brasseaux is shooting 39.5 percent from behind the arc while
Regan Bolton has an 89.5 free throw percent.
Southeastern La. (3-13, 1-4 SLC) returns home after playing its last three games on the road. The Lady Lions are 2-3 at home this season and are coming off a 77-61 road loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Wednesday night.
Junior guard Taylin Underwood leads SE La. and ranks third in the conference in scoring with 17.5 ppg. and fourth in three-pointers made with 37 on the season. Morris Taylor leads the Lady Lions with 6.3 rpg.
