LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will look to bounce back from a four set loss at Stephen F. Austin Thursday night this Saturday when they travel to Lamar for a 1 p.m. match. McNeese (14-11, 5-5 SLC) enters the match in seventh place in the standings and has won two of its last three matches. The Cowgirls will face a Lamar team (3-16, 1-8 SLC) that has lost eight of its last night matches. Lamar's only conference win came in a 3-1 home win against Southeastern La. on Oct. 10.
 
As a team, the Cowgirls rank fifth in the nation in digs and ninth in kills. McNeese is led in digs by sophomore Angela McGownd who ranks third with 499 digs this season. She leads the conference in digs per set with 5.09 per set.
 
Following her 21 kills against SFA, sophomore Keegan Nelms now leads the Cowgirls with 242 kills for an average of 2.47 per set. Sophomore Shanna Spree has a team high 89 blocks and 31 service aces while senior setter Adison Giambrone leads with 498 assists for an average of 5.08 per set.
 
Tomar Thomas leads the Cardinals with 173 kills for an average of 3.39 per set. Murielle Hlavac has a team high 172 digs and Haley Morton leads with 428 assists.
