Women's Basketball Takes On Grambling Wednesday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball returns to Burton Coliseum Wednesday, November 21 to host Grambling at 1 p.m. in the first game of a doubleheader with the Cowboys. The game will be broadcast on the McNeese Radio Network (Cajun Radio 1470/1290 AM) and live streaming will be available. Links can be found on mcneesesports.com. Fans who bring a canned good will be able to purchase a discounted ticket for $8 to the game. 
 
McNeese (2-1) is coming off a 73-53 home win over LSU-Alexandria on Sunday and will look to remain undefeated at home against the Tigers (1-3). The Cowgirls are 2-0 at home with its wins over Southern-New Orleans and LSUA.
 
Senior Keara Hudnall and sophomore Caitlin Davis enter the game as the Cowgirls' leading scorers. Both players are averaging 10.3 ppg. Davis is coming off a career night against LSUA with a double double, scoring a career high 22 points and dishing out a career high 11 assists. Hudnall has scored in double figures in two of the Cowgirls' first three games of the season and is coming off a 10-points game against LSUA.
 
Grambling's lone win of the season was a 61-52 home victory over UL-Monroe and  McNeese's next opponent. The Tigers' losses have come against Louisiana Tech, Xavier (Ohio) and most recently a 96-53 home loss to #17 Florida State on Sunday.
 
Following a brief break for Thanksgiving, McNeese will host UL-Monroe on Sunday, November 26 in a 2 p.m. contest before concluding its four game home stand against Tulane next Wednesday, November 29 at 7 p.m.
