LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will look to get back into the win column when the Cowgirls host Nicholls in the first and only meeting of the season at 1 p.m. Saturday at Burton Coliseum.

McNeese (11-13, 6-7) is coming off a 92-85 road loss at New Orleans that saw the Cowgirls lead for most of the game until UNO took the lead in the fourth quarter to hold on for the victory.
 
Freshman Mady Brasseaux scored a career high 14 points with 12 coming from three-point range. Victoria Rachal, the Cowgirls' leading scorer ended the night with 22. Rachal enters Saturday's game averaging 10.9 ppg. Caitlin Davis pitched in with 12 points and Frederica Heywood grabbed a game high 15 rebounds.  The junior has grabbed 10 or more rebounds in eight of the last 10 games.
 
Nicholls (8-16, 5-8 SLC) returns to action following its 62-51 home loss to UCA the Colonels come into the game having loss four of its last five and are on a three game losing streak.
 
The Colonels have five players averaging double figures and are led in scoring and rebounding by Cassidy Barrios. She is averaging 15.3 ppg. and 7.2 rpg. Hope Pawlowski is averaging 11.6 ppg., Tykeria Williams is averaging 11.2 ppg., Taylor Morrison is averaging 10.2 ppg. and Emani White is averaging 10.1 ppg.
