LAKE CHARLES--  McNeese volleyball, fresh off its 3-1 road win at Abilene Christian on Tuesday, will continue its three match road trip at Incarnate Word Thursday. First serve is set for 7 p.m. Fans can follow the match via live stats at mcneesesports.com. Live streaming will not be available.
 
McNeese (10-7, 2-1 SLC) opened Tuesday's match by winning the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead. ACU took set three before McNeese picked up a fourth set victory to win the match.
 
The Cowgirls who have now won three of its last four match, lead the Southland Conference in digs and are averaging 17.18 per set and are led by sophomore libero Angela McGownd who leads the SLC with 5.45 digs per set.
 
McNeese heads into Thursday's match with the second best hitting percent (.266) behind SFA's .346 in conference matches only. Sophomore Shanna Spree ranks fourth with a .391 hitting percent in league play and senior Jenney D'Alessandro is fifth with a .368 hitting percent. D'Alessandro also ranks fourth in blocks in SLC play with 13 to her credit. D'Alessandro has a total of 57 blocks on the year with 11 coming as solo blocks. Spree continues to lead the Cowgirls in kills with 161 and service aces (23) and Adison Giambrone leads with 334 assists for an average of 5.14 per set.
 
Incarnate Word (2-8, 1-2 SLC) picked up its conference win with a 3-1 victory at Southeastern La. last Saturday. The Cardinals are coming off a straight set home loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday.
