LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will look to put a complete game together Wednesday night against Nicholls in a Southland Conference matchup. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at Burton Coliseum.

At every Cowgirl conference home game- fans will have the chance to win a $200 Boreing Vision gift card and $240 in cash prizes, courtesy of Universal Coin. Those who would like to participate in the halftime challenges should visit the marketing table at courtside to sign up for a chance to play.

McNeese (6-9, 2-2 SLC) will play its final home game of a four game home stand before hitting the road for its next six conference games. Following Wednesday's game, the Cowgirls will be away from Burton Coliseum for one month, returning Feb. 10 to host Southeastern La.

It's been a little frustrating for head coach Kacie Cryer as she is trying to get consistency on offense. While the Cowgirls' intensity and hustle has been present, Cryer is looking for the Cowgirls to put a 40-minute game together. In the past two games, the Cowgirls haven't done that but still had a chance to win. The Cowgirls came out slow against Abilene in the first half and then against UNO, it was the third quarter that did the Cowgirls in as they were outscored 23-4.

Sophomore Caitlin Davis has stepped up her offense in conference games and currently leads McNeese in scoring with 11.2 ppg. Keara Hudnall is slowly coming out of her slump and is averaging 10.9 ppg.

McNeese leads the conference in rebounds in conference games, outrebounding their opponents by 11 rebounds. As a team, the Cowgirls are averaging 20.5 offensive rebounds and 22.5 defensive rebounds. Senior Mercedes Rogers and freshman Bre'Ashlee Jones lead the Cowgirls with 6.6 rpg.

Nicholls (7-8, 2-2 SLC) is coming off a 73-61 road win at Houston Baptist on Saturday. The Colonels are led by Cassidy Barrios who is averaging a double double (15.3 ppg., 10.0 rpg.) and is the reigning Southland Conference player of the week. Barrios also leads the Colonels with 50 assists, 17 blocks and is tied for a team high 44 steals. Tykeria Williams is averaging 13.2 ppg. and has made 32 three-pointers.
