Volleyball Looks To Get Back On Track At Southeastern La. Saturday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will look to get back on track and will attempt to salvage the week after falling in straight sets at Northwestern State Thursday night when the Cowgirls travel to Hammond Saturday for a 1 p.m. Southland Conference match against Southeastern Louisiana (2-17, 1-6 SLC). McNeese (5-16, 3-3 SLC) will look to start another winning streak after its four-match streak was snapped by the Demons in a match that saw the Cowgirls end the match with a .000 team hitting percent.
 
Freshman Paige Havel continues to pace McNeese at the net with a .281 hitting percent and leads the SLC with 1.71 blocks per set in conference matches.
 
Sophomore Allison Lippert has the best hitting percent (.330) among the Cowgirls in conference matches, ranking eighth.
 
As a team, McNeese is second in the SLC in blocks (2.50) and ranks fifth with a .221 team hitting percent.
 
Southeastern La. picked up its first conference victory of the season and snapped a 16-match losing streak with a 3-1 home win over Lamar Thursday night.
 
Saturday's match will be the final home match of a four match home stand for the Lions.
