LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home Tuesday to host Incarnate Word (4-15, 2-7 SLC) in the first of three Southland Conference matches for the Cowgirls this week. First serve at Memorial Gym is set for 6:30 p.m.
McNeese (6-16, 4-3 SLC) enters the match in fifth place in the league standings after splitting its matches on the road at Northwestern State and Southeastern Louisiana last week.
The Cowgirls opened the week with a 3-0 loss in Natchitoches but responded with a 3-1 win in Hammond to end the weekend on a positive note.
The match marks the end of the first half of the conference season for the Cowgirls as the second half begins with a road matches at Houston Baptist Thursday night and at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday.
McNeese ranks second in blocks (2.50) in conference matches and third with a .226 hitting percent.
Freshman
Paige Havel continues to pace the league in blocks with 47 for an average of 1.68 in conference matches.
Senior
Ebony Lewis ranks sixth with a .359 hitting percent and sophomore
Allison Lippert ranks ninth with a .339 hitting percent in conference matches.
