LAKE CHARLES- The McNeese soccer squad will conclude Southland Conference regular season play when it hosts first place Lamar Friday night at Cowgirl field.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be available via live stream on mcneesesports.com.

McNeese will honor its six seniors in a postgame ceremony –
Dayna Garcia,
Nola Prickett,
Morgan Middleton,
Emilee Mayes,
Erin Winters, and
Sarah Clayton.

McNeese (12-6-1, 6-3-1 SLC) will look to bounce back after falling to Houston Baptist last Sunday in a crazy 2-1 double overtime match, handing the Cowgirls only their second loss at home on the season.

The Cowgirls will get a second shot at setting a new regular season win record with a victory over Lamar to record their 13
th win.

Lamar (11-4-2, 7-1-2 SLC) heads into the match on a two-game win streak after picking up conference wins against Houston Baptist and Texas A&M- Corpus Christi last weekend.

This will be the 12
th match between the two programs with the Cardinals having won four of the last five while leading the all-time series 6-5.

The Cowgirls have already clinched a spot in the Southland Conference Tournament but are now in a battle for seed positioning. The tournament will begin next Wednesday in Beaumont.
