LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home this week for two Southland Conference matches beginning with a 6:30 p.m. match against New Orleans on Thursday. The Cowgirls will end their week with an 11 a.m. match on Saturday against Nicholls.

McNeese (3-15, 1-2 SLC) enters the matches riding a two match winning streak and is coming off its first conference win of the season, a 3-1 road win at Lamar last Saturday.
As a team, the Cowgirls lead the SLC in digs (203) for an average of 16.92 per set and rank second in the SLC in blocks with 2.67 per set.
Freshman
Paige Havel is atop the league with 20 blocks (1.67 per set) and ranks fourth in hitting percent at .384. Havel is also ranked 14
th in the conference with .292 kills per set. Havel is coming off a career high 17 kills in the win over Lamar.
Senior
Ebony Lewis also ranks among the league in blocks, ranking seventh with 15 to her credit and 11
th in hitting percent at .328.
Junior libero
Angela McGownd ranks third in digs with an average of 4.83 per set and sophomore
Caitlin Sharrock is ranked eighth with 9.12 assists per set.
Juniors
Keegan Nelms and
Katelyn Elliott lead McNeese in kills with 146 and 128, respectively.
Freshman
Amari Franklin is second on the team with 110 assists and is coming off a career high 48 assists against Lamar.
Junior
Haley Schneider also produced a career high against Lamar with 13 digs and was one of three Cowgirls to pick up at least 10 digs in the match.
New Orleans (10-9, 4-1 SLC) enters the match in third place in the league standings. The Privateers have won four of their last five matches including the last three, two of which were five setters.
UNO comes into the match ranking second in the SLC in hitting percent (.250), assists (12.60 per set).
