STARKVILLE, Miss. – McNeese will close out its three-game, week-long road trip on Tuesday night when the Cowboys visit 22
nd-ranked Mississippi State.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will broadcast live on the SECN Plus station.
McNeese (2-5) is still searching for its first Division I win of the season after coming just seconds away on Saturday in a 67-66 loss at North Carolina Central.
The Bulldogs (6-1) came-from-behind to win at Dayton, 65-58, in their last outing and have played two like teams as the Cowboys on the season, losing 72-67 to Arizona State on Nov. 19 and beating Saint Mary's 61-57 on Nov. 21.
The Cowboys are led in scoring by
James Harvey's 12.9 points, followed by
Malik Hines with an 11.1 average.
Roydell Brown tops the team in rebounding with a 9.4 per game mark to go along with a 9.6 scoring average.
Mississippi State has five players averaging double-digits in scoring, led by Quinndary Weatherspoon's 17.0 mark in addition to a 12.0 rebounding average.
Tuesday's game will be the ninth meeting in the series with Mississippi State holding a 6-2 advantage. The Cowboys stunned the Bulldogs by a 66-47 score in the last meeting back on Dec. 30, 2014.

James Harvey are inching closer to the career 1,000-points scored milestone. Greenwood will enter Tuesday's game with 948 career points scored while Harvey has scored 942 career points.
