LAKE CHARLES—After three weeks and 10 matches on the road, McNeese volleyball hasn't had the start it anticipated.
The Cowgirls will be more than happy to see familiar faces when they host Southern in their home opener Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Gym.
"We are so happy to finally be home," said head coach
Ashleigh Fitzgerald. "It's been a really challenging preseason and we have seen a lot of growth and have dealt with a lot of change these past few weeks. We are looking forward to hosting our first home match against a good Southern team."
Tickets for the match can be purchased online at mcneesesports.com or at the door. Match tickets are $5 for an adult (age 13 & older) and $3 for a child (age 12 & under).
McNeese (0-10), has had a grueling first three weeks of season that included three straight tournaments at the Marriott Samford Tournament, the Denver Classic, and most recently the Washington State Cougar Challenge. Sandwiched in between the Denver Classic and the Washington State Cougar Challenge was a match at Air Force.
