USAF ACADEMY, Co.—McNeese volleyball will conclude its Colorado trip Monday afternoon with a 2 p.m. (CT) match at Air Force. The match will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and live stats will also be available. Links can be found on mcneesesports.com.
McNeese (0-6) will look to notch its first win of the season after falling to Sacramento State, Denver, and UC-Santa Barbara at the Denver Classic over the weekend.
The Cowgirls have seen improvements in all phases of their game over the past two weekends despite not being able to get into the win column.
Heading into Monday's match, McNeese has three players with over 40 kills apiece. Senior
Ebony Lewis leads the team with 45.
Keegan Nelms has 41 to her credit, and
Katelyn Elliott has 40. Junior
Angela McGownd leads the team and ranks third in the Southland Conference with 87 digs for an average of 4.14 per set. Middle blocker
Allison Lippert has a team best 18 blocks and setters
Caitlin Sharrock and
Alexandra Aguilera have 90 and 84 assists, respectively.
Air Force (4-2) will open its home slate against the Cowgirls after opening their season at the North Carolina Spartan-Demon Deacon Classic and most recently the UT-Arlington Maverick Classic over the weekend, where the Falcons posted a 2-1 record with wins over Loyola Maryland and Binghamton. The match will be the first of 11 straight home matches for Air Force.
