LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will take a short trip down I-10 this Saturday to face Lamar in a Southland Conference match beginning at 1 p.m. at McDonald Gym.

McNeese (2-15, 0-2 SLC), coming off its second win of the season after a 3-0 victory over Prairie View on Tuesday, will look to pick up its first SLC victory of the season after falling 3-1 at Sam Houston State and Abilene Christian last weekend.

Angela McGownd ranks sixth in the SLC with 235 digs for an average of 4.12 per set and sophomore setter

th in the league with 329 assists for an average of 6.09 per set.
Lamar (4-10, 1-2 SLC) is coming off its lone SLC win against Incarnate Word on Tuesday. Interim coach Michelle Kuester, who served as a McNeese assistant in 2012 and 2013, leads the Cardinals.
