LAKE CHARLES- Coming off a 5-1 win over Nicholls Friday night, McNeese soccer (9-3-0, 5-0-0 SLC) returns home Sunday at 1 p.m. to host Sam Houston State (4-7-1, 2-2-1 SLC) in a game that was postponed due to lightning back on Oct. 4. Fans who purchased tickets on Oct. 4 before the postponement, that ticket will still be valid for Sunday's contest.

The win on Friday was a school record seventh consecutive win and the 5-0 conference start is the best in program history.

Havana Johnson scored two goals apiece with the other goal coming from
Carissa Adams.
Maddie Neidig was credited with both assist off Johnson's goals.

McNeese enters the game atop the conference standings ahead of Lamar and Incarnate Word who are both 5-1-0 in league play. Sam Houston State enters the game having lost its last two games including a 1-0 loss at Northwestern State Friday night.
