VB: Cowgirls Host Cardinals In Battle of the Border

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball returns home Tuesday, October 22 to host Lamar in its Battle of the Border match. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at the H&HP Complex. Free T-shirts will be handed out to McNeese students while supplies last.
 
The match will be streamed live (subscription) and live stats will also be available on mcneesesports.com.
 
McNeese (8-12, 1-7 SLC) is coming off two road losses at New Orleans and Northwestern State last week but will look to improve on its 5-3 home record this season. The match is the first of five home matches in the Cowgirls next six matches.
 
Lamar (7-11, 2-6 SLC) snapped a three-match losing streak with a 3-0 home win over Nicholls on Saturday.  
 
 
McNeese Notes
  • Keegan Nelms became the fourth McNeese player to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs after recording her 1,000th career kill at Northwestern State last Saturday.
  • McNeese leads the SLC in service aces with 141, and ranks 6th in blocks with 145.5
  • Angela McGownd ranks 3rd in the SLC with 319 digs for an average of 4.83 per set
  • Allison Lippert ranks 4th in the SLC with 27 service aces
  • Alexis Lambert ranks 9th in the SLC in kills with 172
  • Caitlin Sharrock ranks 10th in the SLC with 354 assists
