McNeese (8-13, 1-8 SLC) is coming off a 3-0 home loss to Lamar Tuesday night that saw a match with several scoring runs by both teams and momentum shifts. Thursday's match is the only road match in the next five matches for McNeese. Following this match, McNeese will return home for four straight.
Sam Houston State (11-9, 7-1 SLC) is coming off a 3-0 win at Incarnate Word last Saturday. The Bearkats will enter the match in a second place tie with Northwestern State and have won seven of their last eight matches.
