LAKE CHARLES- McNeese soccer (10-7, 6-4) will close out their regular season Friday night when they take on the regular season Southland Conference Champions, Lamar (12-6, 9-1) Cardinals in the Battle of the Border. The Cowgirls are looking for a win to close out the season in a match that will determine their tournament seeding.
The regular season finale is slated for 7 p.m. at the LU soccer Complex and will also be the Cardinals senior night. The all-time series between Lamar and McNeese is currently tied up at 6-6. The Cowgirls came out on top in last year's contest as

SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE
After Sunday's loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, McNeese fell to sixth place in the conference standings. Lamar has remained on top for the entirety of the season and took home regular season championship honors following its win over Houston Baptist on Sunday.

The Cowgirls are returning to the pitch after a devastating 1-0 double overtime loss at TAM-CC on Sunday. Both teams were scoreless for all of regulation, but the Islanders would be the ones to break the silence with just three minutes left in the second overtime period.
