LAKE CHARLES- The McNeese Cowgirls (7-3, 3-0) are set to host Stephen F. Austin (4-7, 1-3) on Sunday afternoon for their first match of the weekend, despite Friday night's contest being postponed due to lightning delays.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Cowgirl Field. The Cowgirls are riding a five-match winning streak into Sunday's home match where they are yet to lose on their home turf this season. The Pokes are currently third in SLC standings with a perfect 3-0 record. The Ladyjacks are eighth with a 1-3 record, their only conference win came last Sunday over HBU.

McNeese is returning from a successful two-game road trip after picking up a pair of 2-1 wins over UCA on Friday and Northwestern on Sunday.

On Friday night McNeese won in a 2-1 double overtime decision that saw
Delana Friesen score her fourth goal of the season on a game-winning goal off a corner kick delivered by
Kiana Kukaua. Friday night's first goal was scored by Briana Mascia, her first as a Cowgirl.

In Sunday's match,
Havana Johnson scored a late second half goal to help the Pokes escape with a win and remain undefeated in conference play. Also, in Sunday's contest Mascia netted a goal in her second consecutive game.

While McNeese's match was cancelled on Friday, the Ladyjacks completed their contest against Lamar, in Beaumont, after a lightning delay that postponed the start time of the match. SFA fell to the lady cards by a 4-1 decision, that saw Ladyjack Junior score her team-high fourth goal of the season.
