WBB: Cowgirls Travel To UL-Lafayette Thursday

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball returns to the court Thursday when they travel to UL-Lafayette for their second of three straight road games. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. at the Cajundome. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on Cajun Radio (1470/1290 AM) with Bruce Merchant on the call.
 
McNeese (1-2) is coming off a 101-58 road loss at No. 22 Arkansas on Monday and the Cajuns (1-1) are coming off a 77-73 road loss at Sam Houston State on Sunday. The Cowgirls will be the second of four straight games the Cajuns play against Southland Conference teams. They will also host Southeastern Louisiana and will travel to New Orleans.

Brodhead was Cryer's high school head coach at Teurlings Catholic High and both served on the McNeese coaching staff together. Brodhead was McNeese's associate head coach from 2008-2012 before becoming the Cajuns head coach. Cryer was a Cowgirl graduate assistant during the 2011-12 season.
•- McNeese freshman Lizzy Ratcliff will return to her hometown and is also a product of Teurlings Catholic High where she led her team to an undefeated 2019 district title.
•- McNeese has three players currently averaging in double figures and are led by sophomores Callie Maddox (12.7 ppg.) and Divine Tanks (11.3 ppg.). Senior Regan Bolton is also averaging in double figures with 10.7 ppg. and has made a team high nine three-pointers.
•- Tanks also leads the team in rebounds with 9.7 per contest while senior Damilola Balogun is pulling down 8.3 rebounds per game.
•- The Cowgirls enter the game averaging 78.0 ppg. while the Cajuns average 70.0 ppg.
