LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will conclude its regular season this week with two road matches beginning with a 6 p.m. Thursday match at Abilene Christian before traveling to Stephen F. Austin Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
McNeese (11-15, 4-10 SLC) enters its two regular season matches in 10
th place, one win out of eighth place, the final spot for the Southland Conference Tournament.
Both Nicholls and New Orleans enter their final regular season matches tied for eighth place with 5-9 conference records.
The Cowgirls will look to pick up their second win over ACU this season after defeating the Wildcats 3-0 in Lake Charles on Oct. 3. McNeese has won two of its last three matches including a 3-1 win over Nicholls last Saturday in its home finale.
Senior
Keegan Nelms is making the most of her senior season as she leads the Cowgirls with 259 kills and is second on the team with 258 digs and 28 service aces. Nelms is also coming off her 12
th double double this season with 18 kills and 11 digs against Nicholls.
Senior libero
Angela McGownd leads the team with 442 digs while setter
Caitlin Sharrock is the team leader in assists (466) and service aces (29).
Freshman
Ajani Hodges tops the team with 80 blocks with 12 being solos and 68 assisted.
